A Benefit for our Benifit

So we have been stuck in Albuquerque, waiting for the title. Spending more money then we had budgeted for the states, we decided to throw a benefit. Chuparosa a benefit to benefit ourselves. We are throwing it at the local Peace & Justice center. We have made flyers and as I write we have our street team handing them out all over campus.
We are gathering local musicians and artist to perform and display at our event. For one week we've done an amazing amount of work. We are all quite amazed at what we have put together in this time. Anyway... we got our fingers crossed while we plan, sew, and paint.

For those of you who would like to see pictures there is a link below...

Getting Dirty in Albuquerque

So we have arrived in Albuquerque. We are staying at Tracey's brother Ryan's house. We got in late the night before last. We kicked back and decorated our beloved Rollando. We are gonna hang out here for a few days until our title comes. The weather is hot. It is nice at night. The puppy dogs are having a blast. Anyway... all is good.

we are gonna head to Carlsbad Caverns after our stay here. Then we are gonna head to Brownsville, Texas.

We'll try and keep you all posted.

Much Love,
the 7 well prepared pioneers

PS please pass along the blog to loved ones. A lot of people have been asking around and don't have the web address.

PPS We have been keeping our phone off. It is now just for Emergency outgoing calls. If you would like to contact us please do so via email.

Dam, Vegas, Grand Canyon Oasis

After our one night in Las Vegas, we were all eager to get back on the road.
The heat eclipsed what we had prepared for in Menifee. Thank Rollando for AC.
We left Vegas and went over the Hoover Dam into Arizona. We arrived in a beautiful town called Williams where we met up with J's brother. Brother Billy and his Girlfriend Nicole were very hospitable.
Only an hour from Williams laid the infamous Grand Canyon. We decided we would go for the day. After getting there we realized we got a pass for 7 days so we decided to camp there as well. We walked the trails, sang into the canyon, dealt with a little rain, saw a beautiful sunset, cooked an amazing feast, and watched a sunrise.
After the Grand Canyon we traveled south, down through the beautiful red rocks of Sedona, up through the amazing vista of Jerome and landed ourselves in Cottonwood.
We our now currently staying with Tracey's Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, and Niece. The have showed us a great time. We watched an old classic, UHF and ate some amazing homemade blackberry ice cream. Today we are heading to Albuquerque, New Mexico and then to Santa Fe to visit Tracey's brother. We will be there a few days and this will be our last family stop before we head through Texas and down into Mexico.

Much Love To you all,
The 7 soon to be immigrants

PS: Sorry for the tardiness of the update. Internet was not easy to come since we left Menifee.

chuggin along

Rollando is having a blast visiting family. We stopped in fresno, porterville, santa maria, and arrived in menifee this evening. Other than seeing the friendly faces of loved ones, we've really only seen gas stations and traffic on our trek through to southern California. Stopping here for a few nights to regroup and do some minor work on Rollando, a little painting, redecorating, and restocking, and then it's on to the bright lights of Las Vegas.

So far, the heat hasn't been too bad. Our predicted weather of 120 degress in Menifee has so far proven false, but it is 9pm, so we'll have to wait and see what the sun holds for us tomorrow. Only three days into the journey, not counting the hiatus of Dublin, it already feels like we've been traveling for weeks. Tracey and Liz have been the sole drivers so far but Jahsiah and Lindsey are gearing up for the challenge.

We'll keep you posted on the next adventures and hopefully have some pictures up soon. We have greatly enjoyed the generosity of the people who have helped us make it this far!!!!

Mucho Amor a Todos Familia y Amigos!!
Los 7 Exploradors

P.S. We are no longer 8 because Rigormortus is now in his new home with Stefanie in San Luis Obispo! Goodbye for now Rig!

Car Trouble to Champagne Bubbles!

So...
As some of you might know our beloved Purrlina Vango got cold feet.
Last minute she backed out (or Cracked out). We got a crack in the block of the engine. In other words she was done for. So with the generosity and help from our good friend Alan, we sold Purrrlina and bought an RV. Everyone was sad to see Purrrlina go but we are happy to have Rollando, the newest member of our team. 1985 Southwind. We have now turned from traveling hippies to traveling white trash! But after 10 long days of confusion, frustration and despair we have got back our spirits and a vehicle and are on our way. Our apologies for not updating you all sooner. But with the lack of knowing what we were going to do we didn't know what to write. Anyway all is well and we shall be on the road first thing in the morning.

Much Love
